NATAP is a New York State non-profit corporation with 501(c)3 Federal tax-exempt status. Our mission is to educate individuals about HIV and Hepatitis treatments and to advocate on the behalf of all people living with HIV/AIDS and HCV. Our efforts in these areas are conducted on local, national, and international levels.

Welcome to the companion Web site to "Surviving AIDS," originally broadcast on NOVA on February 2, 1999. The program looks at the cutting edge of AIDS research, and what scientists are learning about preserving the immune system and marshalling the body's natural defenses against HIV to keep infected people from progressing to AIDS.

TPAN empowers people living with HIV through peer-led programming, support services, information dissemination, and advocacy. We also provide services to the broader community to increase HIV knowledge and sensitivity, and to reduce the risk of infection.
