Open Door Clinic is hosting its Eighth annual, premier
fundraiser "ALL THINGS CHOCOLATE" on March 29th, 2008, in the
Heritage Ballroom at The Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL.
An evening of elegance, and decadence in the name of raising funds and
awareness. New for 2008:
the first-annual Open Door Clinic Recognition Awards, honoring the civic
leadership of Mayor Edward Schock, Elgin and outstanding friendship and
support from sponsor Alan Amberg and donor Rich Hadjuk.
"A World of Chocolate, A World of Hope" is this year's theme.
All proceeds go directly to Open Door's two locations (Elgin and Aurora)
the only non-profit HIV/AIDS clinics in the Fox Valley area.
A champagne reception kicks off the evening at 7:00 p.m.,
followed by the awards ceremony at 7:30. Lite
Hors d'oeuvres , an open bar and live entertainment, follow, leading up
to the main event...the chocolate!
The areas finest chocolateirs showcase their creations and seduce your
palate. A silent auction tugs at others competitive natures. Bidding on
donated treasures: fine art, dining at upscale area restaurants, theatre
and sporting event tickets, the latest in electronics, themed baskets
and more, usually results in a steal for the highest bidder. Thus, good-natured
bidding wars are common.
The evening also possesses a 50/50 raffle, a live raffle
for $1000 in travel Certificates, a 42" HD Plasma TV, a Sony Playstation
3 with Blueray, Nintendo Wii System, a $100 Dining Certificate, along
with a door prize.
Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door, and can
be purchased at Open Door Clinic Elgin, or by phone at (847) 695-1093
ext 0.
Join us for a wonderful evening benefiting an organization dedicated to
saving lives.
